Brock Lesnar To Talk with AEW

AEW (All Elite Wrestling) has been making the rounds in the wrestling news world as of late.  Chris Jericho also threw some shade at Brock Lesnar during the Royal Rumble when he Tweeted the following:

“Intimidation and fear goes a LONG way in our business guys. But let’s be honest, @BrockLesnar needs to pull up his pants and lose the gut… the dream is over dude. I don’t play by the script… @wwe @AEWrestling”

This is not the first time Chris Jericho has minced words with Brock Lesnar.  The two have a history of heat.  They have always remained professional, but most recently, after Summerslam 2016, Chris Jericho challenged Brock Lesnar to a fight after the Brock Lesnar – Randy Orton main event where Lesnar busted Orton open.

It has been brought to our attention that there could be talks in the near future between Brock Lesnar and AEW.  Lesnar could use these negotiations to leverage a larger deal with the WWE, so certainly the talks will be relatively calculated.

Brock Lesnar has always been a businessman.  His talks with AEW certainly will not be kept silent, as WWE officials will surely learn of them.  Brock Lesnar has been known to use the same tactics in prior negotiations with both the WWE and UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship.)

With that being said, Brock Lesnar has other leverage on his side in the form of Father Time.  At his age, walking away from wrestling is an option, and both WWE and AEW would have to open the checkbooks to entice Lesnar to keep wrestling well into his 40s.

Comments like Chris Jericho’s will only add more appeal and drama to the storyline.  While it is unlikely that Brock Lesnar makes a move to AEW, the competition is great for the sport.  It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
