Lars Sullivan received heavy promotion on WWE television for a while. WWE had plans to push him, at one point considering a match between Lars Sullivan and John Cena at WWE WrestleMania 35. In many ways, unfortunately, things are not working out.
Sullivan reportedly had an anxiety attack the day he was supposed to report to RAW. After that, he went back home to Colorado and stopped responding to WWE officials.
Dave Meltzer was asked about Lars Sullivan’s whereabouts. Meltzer mentioned that Sullivan is on “a leave of absence.”

Sullivan suffered from what is believed to be an anxiety attack in Orlando before he was supposed to report to Raw. Then he stopped communicating with WWE for a while after going back home to Colorado.
Of course, many fans are aware of the disturbing comments Sullivan made on Bodybuilding.com forums several years ago. Sullivan made several racist comments on the Bodybuilding website.
With a potential match against John Cena in the mix, it is a shame that Sullivan has taken a detour. It would have been great to see an NXT talent get a push. Maybe we will get a chance to see Lars Sullivan again in the future.
