Kurt Angle Talks About Punching John Cena In The Face, Retirement Match

Kurt Angle has been continuing his Q&A sessions with fans on Facebook.  During the session, Kurt Angle brought up punching John Cena in the face during a match.  He also talks about Eddie Guerrero’s impact on WWE, a possible retirement match, and other items.

Here are some of the highlights from the session:

ON EDDIE GUERRERO BREAKING BARRIERS:

Eddie broke the barrier of being undersized and winning the World Title. He and Chris made a huge statement at WrestleMania 20. It was one of the greatest “feel good” moments I’ve ever seen. Eddie was the most deserving of this prestigious moment. He earned it.

HIS ADVICE TO RECOVERING ADDICTS:

I didn’t have any obstacles. I made sure I had a purpose of why I stayed clean. It was my wife and kids. I wasn’t going to let them down anymore. Find something that will keep you motivated to stay clean.

ON ACTUALLY PUNCHING HIS OPPONENTS FOR REAL:

Yes. Let me see… Brock, Cena, Shane, Joe… I’ve done it quite a bit. My punches can be a bit stiff. LOL. One time I hit Brock in the face, and he said to me, “Do I owe you money or something?”

HIS MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT:

There was one time, after I won my first world title, I had a big booger hanging out of my nose. It was embarrassing.

IF HE HAS ANYTHING ELSE TO ACCOMPLISH:

I have nothing that I feel I need to accomplish other than an amazing retirement match, whenever that is.

WHAT WWE STAR WOULD WIN A PIE EATING CONTEST:

Braun Strowman could down 50 pies in one sitting. I’ve seen him eat. They guy can throw down 10,000 calories in one day. He is truly the monster among pies.

It has been really nice of Kurt Angle to answer questions from fans over social media.  It certainly would be interesting to rewatch some WWE Network Matches to see if we can witness Kurt Angle punching John Cena in the face.
